Ahh, it’s that time of year for the Shane family.  Alfalfa, Alfalfa, Alfalfa…Time to bale Alfalfa!  Most of our hay is dairy quality and gets baled into 4x4x8 bales, stored and then shipped out of state.  Some leaves the farm still baled, and some gets ground and shipped to nearby feedlots.  The edges of fields get round baled, some goes into smaller 3x3x8 squares…yes, I know that’s not actually a square! LOL  This evening my 3 big boys got to ride, one each with Daddy, Grandpa & Grandma.  The baby and I cruised around the field checking out the sunset/baler combinations to create some beautiful images.  These images are straight out of the camera (SOOC).  Welcome to a little piece of our farm life!alfalfa-2012Blog12
